DMPC Configure
Version 1.00
(C) 1994 Psychic Psoftware
Introduction
------------
You may wonder why I wrote this program (if not, skip this bit *8). I kept
getting "bug" reports from people who seemed to be so lazy that they didn't read
the docs that I had written. So I created this program to encourage people to
set DMPC up correctly for their machine.
Legal Stuff
-----------
If DMPC Configure breaks something I can't be held responsible.
Main Menu
---------
The main menu consists of five choices, namely: Start Up, Player Configuration,
Ripper Setup, Archivers and Save & Exit. You can select these choices by moving
the selection bar up and down and pressing ENTER on the one you want, or just
press the number next to the option.
1. Start Up
-----------
This section deals with all the general variables DMPC uses when it is executed.
The TRUE/FALSE fields can be changed by pressing the 'T' and 'F' keys. Further
information about these variables is available in the file DMPC.CFG that comes
in the DMPC archive.
2. Player Configuration
-----------------------
This allows you to add and delete player configurations with ease. Use CTRL-I
to make a new player config and CTRL-D to delete the current player config.
There is a limit of 50 player configs. You must define at least one config if
you intend using DMPC properly. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to select the
different players.
3. Ripper Setup
---------------
These are all the variables associated with the ripper/previewer code. The
RIPPER DEVICE can be chosen by pressing the bracketed letters in the following:
(S)oundBlaster, (G)US, (P)AS, (T)andy, (D)AC, (A)dlib or (B)eeper. The RIPPER
PORT is in hexadecimal but the RIPPER DMA is in decimal.
4. Archivers
------------
This section contains all the archivers that DMPC supports and you want to
scan, and their paths.
5. Save & Exit
--------------
Pretty obvious what this does, it saves all the information into DMPC.CFG and
then exits the program. If you don't want to save the changes that you have
made, all you have to do is press ESC on the main menu.
Future Plans
------------
- Add this baby into DMPC so you can alter the configuration on-the-fly.
